My Euro Coin Collection Explained

It seems to be developing into a hobby.

Several people have contacted me about exchanging Euro coins. In principle, I am more than willing to do that. Get in touch, send me money plus postage, and I will send back German euro coins of equivalent value. I will try to send shiny ones but I can’t promise they will be fresh from the mint.

Consider it a service of friendship from human being to another.

However, I do want to say for the record that I am not, per se, a coin collector. My Euro collection is really more a study of the, let’s call it dilution, of Euro coins between countries. I live in Frankfurt, and all the coins I have received via “natural means”. This is hardly scientific, and hardly has any kind of real value, but it’s fun. Hey, I am a geek, so what do you expect? :-)

By the way: I used the pictures from the European Central Bank. If you want good photos of the Euro coins, that’s the place to visit.
