GENERAL REPORT
Little is known of the inhabitants of the lands forming the present Province of Griqualand West previous to the commencement of this century, but all accounts appear to concur in showing that there were then Bushmen in the land, whose tenure however was of so recent a date that they can scarcely be termed the aborigines of the country.
During the first years of this century Hottentots of various tribes emigrated into these lands, and whilst the original Bushmen ranged on the Veldt, numbers of the great Koranna tribes took possession of the river borders, and bands of the ancient Griqua nation wandered from their kraals, situated on the dry lands where Philippolis now stands, on predatory excursions of the country.
The Bushmen who thus first peopled this country have continued to occupy it until the present day, though greatly diminished in numbers and reduced by starvation to a state of semi-serfdom under the Griquas and Bechuanas.
They are thus described by a writer on the subject of the relative rights to the lands north of the Orange River, of the Griquas and Korannas, and his view appears to be similar to those of the early settlers in this country, whether Europeans or Hottentots:-

IN APRIL 2012, I WAS IN LONDON AND SAW AND HEARD THE BRITISH EDUCATED, IGNORANT, BIASED, BBC REPORTED KEPT TALKING TO MR. F.W. DE KLERK, ACCUSATIVELY, REPETITIVELY ABOUT NP APARTHEID, AND NOT ABOUT ANC-SACP APARTHEID – WHEN HE WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT, HE WAS IN LONDON TO TRY TO GET BUSINESSES IN SOUTH AFRICA……..
HENCE, ANOTHER REASON WHY I HAVE TO EDUCATE THEM AND OTHERS TOO ABOUT THE TRUTH OF THE BRITISH APARTHEID…….
I HAPPEN TO BE OF BOTH BRITISH AND AFRIKANER, FRENCH AND GERMAN DESCENT TOO, SO I DEFINITELY AM UNBIASED, IN MY ASSESSMENTS AND ANALYSES. THE BRITISH ALSO THINK THEY ONLY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CRITICIZE, ASSESS AND ANALYSE OTHERS’, AND THAT WE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO TO, ESPECIALLY ABOUT THEM. I HAD MANY DECENT, NON-RACIST WHITE FRIENDS & COLLEAGUES, MOSTLY OF WHOM WERE/ARE AFRIKANERS/BOERS, THEN DUTCH, BRITISH SOUTH AFRICANS, THEN BRITISH, POLISH, GERMAN, PORTUGEUSE, ITALIAN, JEWISH, HUNGARIAN, & OTHERS WHOM I HAVE NEVER MET TOO, TO WHOM MY CRITICISMS & TRUTHFUL FACTS DO NOT APPLY, OBVIOUSLY.

Anyone who had come to the Diamond Fields in Griqualand early in the seventies might have observed a tall English lad sitting at a table diamond sorting, or superintending the work of his gang of Kaffirs, near the huge open chasm or quarry which then constituted the mines…………..roughed it up in a tent, and, with the assistance of a gang of natives………
yellow ground was beaten up and broken small by the Kaffirs,……………..obtained at Colesburg Kopje, where the town of Kimberley now stands.” (this is a lie as i Ms Claudine Fourie-Grosvenor see Colesberg being much further due North West from Kimberley on the Maps of the time)
” He was often to be seen on the Diamond fields keeping his gang of Kaffir labourers at their work……….he said,’ That’s my dream………all English….. ‘. He never cared for money for itself. His wants remained perfectly simple. ”
